quencher: make some music

Government shutdown got you down? Need a little music in your life? Artisinal, hand-crafted, locally-sourced music?

Allow me to introduce Quencher for Android.

feature

Quencher allows you to hear music the old-fashioned way: by laboriously entering it in by hand. None of this decadent, new-fangled “pre-recorded” nonsense– you’ll write your own music, the way God intended, note by note.

You can work from all the usual major, minor, and pentatonic scales, but if you’re feeling adventurous, create your own! Six tones? Nine tones? Fractional intervals? A note called “P” right in the middle? Go nuts!

Don’t like the instruments I’ve included? Well, you know where you can go…that’s right, to the instrument editor! Create your own instruments out of hand-sculpted waveforms and use them in your songs. Sprinkle a little vibrato on top, or maybe a little tremolo if you’re in that kind of mood.

And as I’m a generous sort, you can “save” your creations to disk, then “load” them back to enjoy at any time. No need to thank me, citizen. Just doing my job.

Quencher is now available on the Google Play for FREE and a smile. (Smile not required.)
